I'm Not Saying It's Love

by Sincerely, Iris

/

about

If The Beach Boys had a baby with The Smashing Pumpkins it might sound like this reimagined song by Sincerely, Iris. The previous solo acoustic version was from the album "Best Left Free." Here the song gets the full band treatment with layered vocal harmonies and a soaring guitar solo. Chip Hale (Tyler Meacham, Justin Golden) plays bass and Jon Chadwick (Jouwala Collective, Space Koi) plays drums on this updated version.

"This song is about being nostalgic for a past that you never really got to have. Norman Rockwell said that he didn't paint the way the world actually was, he painted the way he wished it was. This song explores that same idea. This is what I wished high school was like. Not how it actually was." - Todd Murray

about

Sincerely, Iris Richmond, Virginia

Whether it be gypsy-esque or like Kerouac's beat up old truck, shaking down the road at midnight, it is at once comforting, and somewhat unknown. He draws upon influences from Jeff Buckley to Billie Holiday. ... more
